THE UMBRELLA
A few days ago me and a friend of mine were visiting some of my family. It was raining very hard. We were sitting out on the patio at a patio table. He went to the truck to get something and when he came back he laid an umbrella down in front of me on the table and stated that he brought it just in case it was still raining when we left (always be prepared for the rain) and I thanked him as it was so thoughtful of him. As I kept looking at the umbrella lying there thoughts kept coming into my mind about the purpose of that umbrella which is a protection and guarding against the rain or even the sun (a covering). I had been out of town on Friday and Saturday with family and had to use my umbrella multiple times but I would finally understand what God was trying to show me about the umbrella. God gave me those thoughts for a purpose. I received a text from a friend who was in need and my heart was broken for them. Shortly after that I talked to another friend for some time and my heart was broken for them. It was then when it all began to make sense. Our umbrella is God himself. Because a home is one of the major targets of Satan because it is ordained by God he will always attack it. It must be guarded and covered at all times. It takes effort and work to protect and guard. The umbrella is not meant for just the husband or the wife. You became one so the umbrella is to cover you both. When one gets tired of holding it let the other one hold it for a while!!! The devil is the author of confusion and a happy home is his worst nightmare. If I could say anything to anyone today please protect and guard your home. Pray for each other and pray together! Praying together is so important!! I am still a firm believer in the saying that a family that prays together stays together. If you are always trying to build each other up there will be no time to tear each other down. The power of life and death is in the tongue! (The tongue is deadly). Be a shelter for each other instead of a den of hungry vipers. Use the umbrella!!! It is a necessity!!!
